Personal data that we process
Elena Translations processes your personal data because you use our translation services and/or because you provide it to us yourself. This happens if you, as a private individual or as a company, ask us to have documents translated.
Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:

- Sex
- Date of birth
- Birthplace
- Address data
- phone number
- E-mail address
- Bank account number
- IP address
- Other personal data that you actively provide, for example in correspondence (e.g. by e-mail or via a form on our website) and by telephone.
We emphatically point out that gender, date of birth and place of birth are not recorded in our administration, but that the source texts you provide and the translation are stored in our archives on the basis of legal regulations.
This data will generally appear less frequently in business documents, but even then the treatment will be the same.

Elena Translations processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data of yours if they appear in the documents for translation:
- health (translation of medical documents)
- criminal history (translation of legal documents)
- citizen service number (BSN) (translation of e.g. passport)
- biometric data/race (photos on passports, etc)
- data of persons under the age of 16 (translation of e.g. birth certificate).
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years of age. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore recommend that parents be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal information about a minor without this consent, please contact us at info@elenatranslations.nl and we will delete this information.
For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data?
You give permission to Elena Translations to process your personal data for the following purposes:
